Overview
There are two assignments and a two-phase project. More details will be posted soon. We will use MarkUs, and will provide the link when it has been set up.
Emergencies
If you are unable to complete course work due to illness, injury, or other serious situation, contact us as soon as possible.
Lateness
You can submit assignments up to an hour late with no penalty. You can submit up to 12 hours late with a 25% late penalty. After that, submissions will not be marked.
Policy on collaboration
You are encouraged to discuss ideas and approaches to solving problems posed on the homework assignments with other students. However, you are not permitted to take any notes during these discussions, nor are you permitted to consult other students' solutions. If you need help, please ask a TA, the Help Centre, or an instructor.
- Searching for a solution on the Internet is a violation of this policy.
- Sharing work with other students (who are not members of your team) is a violation of this policy.
- Asking for help with assignment solutions on an Internet site is a violation of this policy.
Failure to observe this policy is an academic offence, carrying a penalty ranging from a zero on a homework or a test to suspension from the university.
You are encouraged to read this document on Plagiarism and how to avoid it. If you are uncertain about what constitutes plagiarism, talk to your instructor. There are serious consequences to plagiarism.
